Today's Opinion Editorial: Drunk drivers' tears don't undo the damage The good news from anti-drunk-driving group The Century Council is that between 1998 and 2008, drunk-driving fatalities in Arizona dropped 38.2 percent in all age brackets, and a whopping 54 percent among youths younger than 21. The bad news is that in 2008, 266 people died in alcohol-related accidents in Arizona. In 71 percent of these fatalities, drivers had blood alcohol levels exceeding 0.15.
